Punctuality and Attendance

The course can be either full-time or part-time attendance.

Learners will be given a customised timetable on enrolment detailing the time and place of classes to be attended and learners are required to follow this timetable.

The official course weekly timetable is as follows:

Monday to Thursday:

Morning: 9:30am to 12:45pm – Break time: 10.30-10.45

Lunch: 12:45pm to 13:30pm

Afternoon: 1:30pm to 4:30pm – Break time: 3.30-3.45


Morning: 9:30am to 12:45pm – Break time: 10.30-10.45

There are no classes on Friday afternoon.

Self-directed Learning

The course is delivered using a combination of lectures, tutorials, individual tuition, role-play activities and self-directed learning. The instructor will give each learner assignments and notes. It is expected that learners will work independently through these assignments and study their notes.

Learners have access to a canteen with tea/coffee facilities.

Food is not provided on-site although there are facilities to store and heat up meals purchased off site.

Computer Usage

Learners are generally allocated a workstation in the centre. Each learner is responsible for any computer activity that occurs on that particular workstation during the training hours.

Employment Opportunities

GHIS and EVE do not guarantee to locate, source or arrange employment opportunities or work for any learner in the centre.

The centre will endeavour to provide telephone, word processing and advice services to those learners seeking employment. Mock interview procedures can also be arranged, with some notice.
